Hudson Valley Farmers Markets are an important part of our region.

Did you know that you don’t have to drive far to buy farm-fresh produce and freshly made products? With so many farms in the region, it’s no wonder that almost every city and town hosts their own Hudson Valley farmers Markets.

If you grew up in the city like me, you grew up in a home where fresh produce was only bought at the supermarket.

Growing up in the city, I was not exposed to a farmers’ market like the ones that you find in the Hudson Valley Region. Although my mother always served fresh foods during our meals, it makes me a little sad to know that we never had the chance to experience these wonderful markets.

It’s quite a blessing to be able to buy ‘fresh from the farm’ produce that had just been picked and fresh dairy products right from the farm. This makes Hudson Valley Farmers Markets essential part of our community and one of the best places to visit.

The Hudson Valley glows so brightly with all its best produce and products from award-winning farms! The most important part of this time of the year is the ability to support our local farmers and all the hard work they do year round.

If someone would have told me that the Hudson Valley Farmers Markets Season would be the highlight of my year, I would have told them that they were crazy. 

But it’s true… the sounds, people, colors, and smells make me giddy.
