For locals and tourists alike, the Hudson Valley is an amazing place to visit during the month of December. December is a magical time of year anywhere in the world, but Hudson Valley Holiday Events are the best around!

Each and every city, town and even down to the smallest hamlet gets dressed up in their Holiday best as they spread cheer to each and every person visiting.

Hop in your car December 6th – 20th and ride around Hyde Park to see Holiday Displays created by both the community and the business owners of Hyde Park! Print out your map with ballot on the back and vote for your favorite display! Voting can be done online.

Mule Display

Close to 40,000 lights set to music. Tune to FM 91.9 to hear the music in your car. Donations are accepted for the Foster Blessings Foundation.

North Kensico Christmas Light Show

November 28th, 2020 – January 1st, 2021: 5:30pm – 11pm

When visiting, tune your FM car radio to 107.7 and you can hear the music for the lights from the comfort of your car. This year we have over 10,000 lights on 144 channels synchronized to music. This will be our thirteenth year of using computer controlled lights however this will be our last year. There are four homes as part of the show this year.

On December 6th from 10 am to 3 pm, we will be hosting out HVCPO’s Outdoor Holiday Market to allow you to shop locally this holiday season.

Give, Thanks & Ride

December 6th: 12noon – 5pm
Trolley Museum of New York, Kingston
We will be collecting non-perishable foods, gift cards, baby needs including diapers of all sizes and wipes. As a special thanks we will be gifting our riders who donate half off riding ticket prices. This event will take place December 5th and 6th. Our Trolley rides will start at noon and run every hour until our last run at 4:00pm.

Merry & Bright: A Holiday Driving Tour

December 6th – 20th: 6pm
Throughout Hyde Park

Hop in your car December 6th – 20th and ride around Hyde Park to see Holiday Displays created by both the community and the business owners of Hyde Park! Print out your map with ballot on the back and vote for your favorite display! Voting can be done online.

Self-Guided Holiday Tours

December 8th – January 2nd: 12 noon – 3:30pm
Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site, Yonkers

On this self-guided tour, come learn about the Manor Hall and the Dutch traditions that the Philipse family observed during the holidays in the 1700’s. Discover the origins of many different modern holiday traditions while also viewing nearly 250 years of the evolution of decorations at the Manor done by the Morsemere Garden Club. 

Santa at the Palisades Center Mall
