I recently started an apparel line to compliment my website. Hudson Valley Apparel, you ask? Yes. Let me explain…
The back story is that I wanted to showcase my love for the Hudson Valley with some T-shirts. I started with a take on the “I (Heart) NY” logo and made a “I (Heart) HV”. I got it printed through an independent printer and loved it, so I decided to make more designs. And that was how this whole project started… And now I can’t seem to stop.
Why is it so hard to find Hudson Valley apparel?
Commentary that I’ve received from local people is that it can be difficult to find targeted Hudson Valley Apparel.
What does that mean?
Here are some examples:
- The Thruway rest stops are FULL of “I (Heart) NY” Gear, but not anything Hudson Valley-Specific
- Local towns and cities offer merchandise that only showcases their OWN towns/cities, not the Hudson Valley in general
- It is hard to find a variety of apparel specific ONLY to the Hudson Valley
And I get it…
If you want a shirt, cap, etc from the local minor league baseball clubs, you can find that on the Hudson Valley Renegades Official Store on the official website of the Hudson Valley Renegades with a variety of Renegades Products to choose from. Being the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees and located on Route 9D in Wappingers Falls lends to the appeal and, if you’re a fan of baseball, it’s a nice thing to have.
OR if you want merchandise from the New York Boulders Shop, you can find their apparel at the stadium or on their online shop. Both teams have a loyal following and people love supporting our local teams.
While local towns have an extensive selection merchandise with their town’s name on them and of their local high school’s team names with respective mascots, what happens to those local people that just want to be proud of the Hudson Valley (without the addition of other things)? That’s where I come in.

When I attempted to find a Hudson Valley t-shirt on Amazon and Etsy, the selection results were limited to a few t-shirt designs that I was not particularly interested in. So I decided to make some unique clothing and other merchandise designs that would appeal to the masses.
In my designs, I’ve tried to incorporate the Catskill Mountains, the famous Hudson River and so much more that inspires others all around this region.
