Where is The Palisades Mall?
The Palisades Mall is located in West Nyack, NY in Rockland County.
Located right across the “New” Tappan Zee Bridge/Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge and next to the Palisades Parkway.
Because of its location, it is convenient to both New Yorkers and New Jerseyers (is that actually a word?).
The location is what appeals to most people visiting the Palisades Mall because it is easy to get off the highway and then back on the highway without venturing through side streets and through towns.
The Palisades Center Mall, also known as “The Palisades Mall”, is currently the 2nd largest mall in the NY Metro area, coming second to the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY.
The only mall in NY bigger than these two is Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse, NY.
The Palisades Mall was opened in March 1998 and continues to be one of the favorite places for visitors from all over New York and also for tourists visiting the area.
“Palisades Center is among the top 10 most visited malls in America. This four-level shopping center located in Rockland County, offers over 200 stores, 16 sit-down restaurants, a bowling alley, ice rink, the world’s tallest indoor ropes course, comedy club, and more. Palisades Center is the go-to place for local shoppers and tourists alike.”

Why is the Palisades Mall & Palisades Mall Activities so unique?
In addition to the vast variety of stores and eateries located in this mall, the most impressive aspect of the Palisades Mall is the sheer amount of Palisades Mall Activities they have.
You can stay there all day and NEVER run out of things to do.
During my visit (while researching this blog post) I was pleasantly surprised to see new additions to the collection of activities that they have for all age groups.
*NOTE – Because of COVID-19, some Palisades Mall activities that you knew and loved have gone out of business. I continuously update this article to include the most up-to-date information.
TIPS FOR VISITING THE PALISADES MALL:
- The Mall is typically crowded on the Weekends, so a Weekday visit guarantees less people and a lot more options for fun.
- The costs of activities varies. Check individual activities beforehand so you can budget wisely.
- Some places require Advance Tickets, a Reservation or an Appointment. Check the websites for updated information.

Essential Gear Recommended When Visiting The Palisades Mall:
Clicks the links below to see the items I used when visiting the Palisades Mall.
- Washable Face Masks – If you want to enjoy an outing in the Hudson Valley, make sure to stay safe with the washable face masks. These are the ones that I personally use and can breathe well from.
- Comfortable women’s walking shoes – My favorite walking shoes are by Skechers, because they are soft and the memory foam feels great on my feet.
- Power Bank for my phone – While out walking all day and taking photos, I use this power bank to make sure that I will not run out of battery on my phone.
- Backpack purse – When I’m not using my sling purse, I use this backpack purse. It frees up my hands to take photos and eat while I’m walking around.
TIPS FOR AN AMAZING VISIT TO THE PALISADES MALL:
- Wear comfortable shoes. To cover the majority of the mall, it requires a lot of walking. Invest in some comfy footwear, like these walking sneakers.
- Make sure you give yourself enough time to park and walk from the parking area to the mall. Keep in mind that it can be crowded on the weekends.
- Taking a stroller for your young child/children is a good idea. Elevators within the mall help you get from one floor to another.
